"What happens to the boundary of political community and group membership when a nation-state hosts foreigners (and subsequently reflects on the implications of letting a foreigner inside a polity) ? My discussion considers this question through three different examples; the work of a Belgian NGO focused on providing assistance to asylum seekers where I conducted fieldwork in the fall of 2015 and summer of 2016; a monologue of Antigone I performed in the winter of 2017; and my own experience grappling with sexual difference in the context of fieldwork about asylum."

Graduated in 2017
After graduation:
"After graduating from COA, I completed a masters in migration studies at the University of Oxford. Upon finishing my masters, I first worked with an NGO in the employment sector and quickly realized that was not for me. Since 2020 I have been working as the political and economic counselor for the Belgian embassy in Chile. I’ll be moving back to Belgium this summer and am currently thinking about my next step (studies or otherwise). "
